Employment Projects of Winnipeg, Inc. (EPW)
Is an organization providing a wide range of services for employment assistance, résumé preparation, language development, training and referrals. They also have an HRDC job kiosk, two computers with Internet, and a laser printer. Workshops include Marketing Yourself, Self Esteem, Resume and Cover Letter Writing, and others. Some of their sponsored projects are the Women's Employment Counselling Service, and New Options for Immigrants.

International Centre
Is geared toward those who are receiving social assistance or who are a member of a low-income family (it is not limited to immigrants). They offer free, short-term training programs in retail, light manufacturing, and hotel & restaurant work.

This organization, which is affiliated with Sara Riel Inc., has a Job Developer and Employment Support Counsellor to help clients with employment issues, and many related services.

Taking Charge!
This joint provincial and federal program exists to help single parents to find employment and build careers. To be eligible for participation in this program, individuals must be single parents receiving or eligible to receive employment and income assistance. Services include an onsite child care facility, personal development workshops, basic computer training, job preparation help, and job-ready placement.

Jobworks Adult Learning Centre
Funded by Adult Learning and Literacy, Jobworks offers high school courses to adults completing their Adult High School Diploma or upgrading for post-secondary education. Orioles Community Adult Learning Centre
This organization provides free literacy and computer courses, GED preparation classes, and a resume writing session. A 2-month program in computer skills covers basic computer skills, including word processing, graphics, and spreadsheets. Daytime daycare is also available to clients.

St. Norbert Adult Education Centre
This is an adult education centre that provides various courses at no cost. It has programs that include high school credits, employment readiness (job search skills, resume writing, career and employment counseling) and computer training (introduction to computers, keyboarding, Internet and email, word processing, and others). Every first and third Wednesday of each month, from 3 to 8 pm, they have an open house for visitors to learn about their services.

Upward Bound:
A Stepping Stone offers the Mature Student Grade 12 Diploma Program, designed by Manitoba Education and Training. Applicants must be 19 or older, and out of school for at least one year. Students with a grade 9 or 10 background are usually able to complete the program in one year. There is no cost to attend the program and continuous enrollment occurs throughout the year.
